The Collective Bargaining Agreement, or CBA, is an agreement between FCAI and the Painters District Council #30 on the hourly wages craftspersons will be paid, contributions to be made for fringe benefits, and working rules and conditions. Signatory employers, like the members of PDC #30, select a group of representatives to negotiate a contract which shall be in effect for an established period of time. PDC #30 negotiates with representatives of the Finishing Contractors Association of Illinois (FCAI).

The first man on the job can be any of your DC workers. The second man must be from the local area where work is being performed. The third man can be any of your workers and so on. If the job is manned by an odd number of people, the ratio can be in favor of your DC #30 members, according to the letter dated April 11, 2022 from DC 14, 30, and 58.

On March 22, 2012, FCAI participated in a conference call meeting between representatives of FCAI, the Finishing Contractors Association of Chicago (FCAC), Painters District Council #30 (PDC #30), Painters District Council #14 (PDC #14), and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT).
The purpose of the meeting was to clarify agreements between PDC #30 and PDC #14 concerning work performed in each District Councils’ respective jurisdictions and to address questions and concerns raised by several sources.
